After studying sociology (main subject) and philosophy (subsidiary subject) at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena, graduating with a bachelor’s degree, she came to Hamburg to continue her studies in sociology.
Her Master’s Thesis (German title: “Phänomene der Übervernetzung und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Identitätskonstruktion. Eine Analyse anhand der Netzwerktheorie von Manuel Castells“), supervised by Prof. Dr. Urs Stäheli and Prof. Dr. Sina Farzin, was finished in spring 2015. Her research interests include network studies, digital cultures, mobility and tourism studies.
