Veronika Pöhnl studied art history and indo-european linguistics at the University of Regensburg (2003-2004), BA and received her MA degree in literature, art and media studies at the University of Konstanz (2007-2013). In her MA thesis „Denkwege. Bilder zwischen Erkenntnis und Existenz“, she analysed the media theory foundation of visual theory, world and self-constitution in art theory and STS.
In her PhD project “Aesthetic Scanning Electron Microskopy”, she explores the transposition of SEM-images in science, STS, popular science and art.
